Piqabu Refund Policy
Effective: 10 June 2026
This policy explains when refunds are and are not available for purchases of Piqabu Pro.
By purchasing Piqabu Pro you agree to this policy. This policy supplements our Terms of Service.
1. General rule
Piqabu Pro purchases are final at the point of successful charge. Once payment is captured by Paystack and Pro entitlement is granted to your device, the charge is non-refundable.
This reflects the nature of the product: Pro is a one-year digital licence granted to a specific device, and access is delivered instantly when payment succeeds.
2. The 14-day grace window is not a refund window
Piqabu Pro includes a 14-day "grace period" after your subscription's 1-year term expires. During grace, Pro features continue to work and the app prompts you to renew.
This is a feature of the renewal experience, not a refund window. It does not entitle you to a refund of the original 1-year purchase, even if you decide during grace not to renew.
3. Limited circumstances in which we will issue a refund
We will refund the full amount of your most recent Pro purchase in the following circumstances:
3.1 Duplicate charge
You were charged twice for the same Pro upgrade due to a technical error (yours, Paystack's, or ours). The duplicate is refunded; the original purchase remains in effect.
3.2 Failed activation on our side
Payment succeeded but, due to a fault on our infrastructure (not on yours), Pro was not granted to your device within 7 days of payment. In that case we will either:
- Grant the missing Pro entitlement and let the year run normally; or
- Refund the full amount on your request.
3.3 Unauthorised use of your payment method
Someone used your card or bank to purchase Pro without your authorisation, AND you contacted us within 30 days of the charge with supporting evidence (bank report, police report, or equivalent).
In this case we will refund and ban the receiving Ghost ID. You should also contact Paystack and your card issuer directly.
3.4 Required by mandatory consumer law
If Ghana consumer law mandates a refund in a circumstance not listed above, we will comply with that requirement to the extent required.
4. Circumstances in which we will not issue a refund
The following situations do not qualify for a refund:
- You changed your mind after purchase.
- You stopped using the app.
- You lost access because you uninstalled the app, factory-reset your device, or wiped your Ghost ID.
- Your Ghost ID was banned for violating our Acceptable Use Policy.
- A feature you expected to be in Pro was not available, where the feature was not represented to be in Pro at the time of your purchase.
- You were dissatisfied with the service quality, subject to Section 3.2 above.
- The price changed after your purchase. Your existing subscription remains at the price you paid.
5. How to request a refund
If you believe Section 3 applies to your situation:
- Email support@piqabu.live from the email address you used at Paystack checkout (or from any email if you used a synthesised placeholder).
- Provide: - Your Ghost ID (find it in Settings → PIQABU PRO). - The Paystack transaction reference (find it in your receipt from Paystack). - The reason you believe you are entitled to a refund. - For unauthorised use (Section 3.3), supporting evidence.
- We will respond within 10 business days. We may ask follow-up questions to verify your claim.
- Approved refunds are issued via Paystack to the original payment method. Funds typically arrive within 5–10 business days of approval, subject to your bank's processing time.
6. Disputed charges
If you initiate a chargeback through your card issuer without first contacting us, we will:
- Provide your card issuer with our records of the transaction.
- Suspend the Pro entitlement associated with the disputed charge while the dispute is pending.
- Permanently ban the associated Ghost ID if the chargeback is found to be without merit.
We encourage you to contact us first. We are faster, fairer, and don't penalise good faith.
7. Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy. Changes apply prospectively to new purchases — your existing purchase is governed by the version of this policy that was in effect at the time of your charge.
